Sana Nader -- "My World"

Globalization and the rapid increase in the technological advances helped in flattening the world around us by the use of the developed means of communication. Thus, "My World" is a combination of two distinctive areas, Virtual and Real communities.
Although I live in between these distinguishing communities, Real community adds clarification and shows interactivity more than the Virtual community. For example, expressions are identified either from the face to face conversations or the spoken language. when I deal with people physically, emotions, feelings and thoughts are being indicated easily more than written words or even pictures. In fact, face to face communication provides reliability and accuracy of information. However, the information I get online might not be from the exact source or the truth of the information might be hidden and not clear.
Relations between people in the Real community are stronger than the Virtual community because it creates social connections and it illustrates the body gestures and the eye contact of people.
Finally, I cannot deny the importance of the two communities in shaping "My World", but the Real community is my identity and physically who I am today.

  1. Good work Sana the introduction is interesting, I love the fact that you brought up the idea of "the world is flat". You had few points and that were able to give you good arguments. Though you were not able to deliver all your feelings and arguments to the reader, probably because of the language; but I believe that if you were to discuss it face to face, that would help you express yourself more and I assure you that you will make the listener involved with you. After all I guess that’s what you were talking about , right?. Other than that, it makes the reader wanting to ask questions, for example, when you say " the Real community is my identity and physically who I am today." What do you exactly mean?
    Enjoyed reading it, keep up
